P.S. Colonel Stanley Jack Forster’s motel down in Ringlet facing the old dam is a gem in the mountains. The motel has 18 rooms, each with its own personality. An insight to the Orang Asli's lifestyle and culture. This programme is for those who are interested to know more about the "Semai" tribe. Authentic villages are situated at the Eastern Valleys of Cameron Highlands, a 40minutes drive down will bring you down to these villages. Try the blowpipe and get to know more about their tools, food musical intruments etc. Observe the traditional bamboo huts built only with bamboo, wood and palm fronds. A short walk to a waterfall nearby the village will reveal some of the medicinal plants used by the Orang Asli's in their daily life. This place is also the home of hundreds of insect species

Explore Cameron Itinerary

Duration : 8.30am to 6.30pm

Minimum : 2 adults

This is a combination of The Mount Brinchang Mossy Forest Tour and The Orang Asli Village Visit. The journey begins with a short stop at the Sungai Palas Tea Plantation before the drive up to Mount Brinchang, the highest mountain in Cameron, to enjoy the magnificent view. An interpretive walk into the Mossy Forest reveals exotic array of flora and fauna. A short drive down from the mountain brings you to the Oldest Tea Factory in Malaysia. Have a cup of tea at the Umpp! Tea Shop where there is a wide range of tea on offer. Lunch is at Tringkap Chinese Restaurant. The journey continues through vegetable and flower farms to the Orang Asli village. Observe their simple life, culture and traditional medicines. Try the blowpipe and get to know the tools and musical instruments used by the natives. Twenty minutes walk from the village brings you to a waterfall, where you can enjoy a cup of special tea brewed by our guide. The journey ends with a short stop at a flower/vegetable farm. Insect Explore Cameron Itinerary

Duration : 9.00am to 3.00pm

Explore the wilderness of Cameron Highlands and discover the insect world!
Cameron Highland is well known as Insect Paradise by many insect collectors for it’s variety of insect species. A half an hour drive on a 4WD will bring you to the Eastern Valley of Cameron Highlands where the hunt begins. At this moderate elevation, it’s warm and humidity is the most suitable environment for insects. Different species of insects can be observed at each stop made along the way. Some of the insects will be captured by using a net for observation and will be released back into the forest. This program will give you an opportunity to understand about the Insect World.

Requirements : Trekking shoes.
Note : Packed lunch and water is includes.
An Orang Asli (native) village will be visited along the way.

Mossy Explorer Itinerary

Duration : 9.00am to 2.30pm

Minimum : 2 adults

Cruise along the rolling tea hills to Mount Brinchang while enjoying the cool crispy air. A commentary on tea will be given at one of the view point before the drive up to the highest mountain in Cameron Highlands. If you are lucky, you will be blessed with the magnificent view of the surrounding area. An interpretive walk (45 minutes) into the mossy forest will reveal one of the most exotic flora on earth – The Pitcher Plant! Other plants like orchids, primitive ferns, spices and medicinal plants will also be highlighted by our guide. A short drive down from the mountain will bring you to the Oldest Tea Factory in Malaysia – Sungai Palas. Here a factory tour will be conducted before visiting the Tea Shop. You will be amazed by the varieties of tea offered at the Umpp! Tea Shop. Enjoy a cup of tea before the return journey back to the hotel.
