Away from Balik Pulau town there is a labyrinth of minor roads, pathways and alleys . Cyclists are treated as pedestrians, so you can use bicycle to explore green paddy field, fruit orchard, plantation, mangrove, fishing village and dozen of traditional Kampung in Balik Pulau. Exploring the town by bicycle has all the advantages of going by foot, combined with a much greater action radius and cooling breeze. If you want to experience Balik Pulau hideaways and countryside, touched by the charm of Malaysian way of country life at personal level, bicycle is a great way to do it. The cycling tour at Balik Pulau departs every afternoon, Saturday and Sunday mornings (by appoinment only). It sounds strange but a cycle tour in Balik Pulau really is the best way to discover the countryside of Penang up close and it's a “journey” not to be miss
