Closing Season

Resort Closes 15th October - early February for monsoon season break

Boat Transfers:

There are many boat operators located at the Kuala Besut Jetty and what you need to do when you get there is to let them know where you will be staying. They will then drop you at the beach. Now, closer to the monsoon season ie Feb, Mar, Oct months, the boat timing will be largely dependent on the sea conditions and dont be surprised if you have to wait a whole day for the boat or not at all even.

For other times of the month, the boat schedules are relatively stable:

Kuala Besut - Island - 8.00am until 4.00pm
Island - Kuala Besut - 8.00am, 12.00nn and 4.00pm
( Boat Transfer subject to change without prior notice depending on the weather conditions)

For islands such as perhentian where it is easily assessible and there are numerous resorts catering to a wide spectrum of budgets, there are also lots of restaurants and cafes which will sort of cater to your eating preferences. However if you travel during the period of Ramadhan, chances are that many small eateries will not be open. Bring some snacks to tie you over. Other times of the year, there will not be any issues. Please be mindful that the island is home to a Muslim community , some places sell alcohol but many don't. So, to opt for a package or just a room? There is a lot of choices out there on both islands for tours, food, transfers..
