Temenggor Forest Reserve Package - Minimum 30 persons

“MNS Belum-Temengor Complex ‘Nature’s Hideaway’ Excursions – Gateway Journey to Last Frontier Rainforest”

 

A.         TRIP PACKAGE – 3D/2N
Our full board package offered will be RM 550.00 per person (min 30 pax) ex- Banding.
The charges will include :
1.         All meals on board while at campsite, i.e. Breakfast , Lunch &  Dinner 
                        Sat.      -           L,D
                        Sun      -           BLD
                        Mon     -           B
            Beverages will be available at campsite from morning till midnight.                     
2.         Accommodation – Longhouse style – sharing  & Toilet/Shower facilities

  • Transport Transfer - Arrangement of motorized boat transfer from Banding Jetty to Sg Halong camp area (min 45 min~1hr)

4.         Campsite and accommodation fees, Guides and Orang Asli guide

DAY 1  (Ex Gerik – Banding Public Jetty)

  • Transfer from Banding Public Jetty to Sg Halong for check-in by boat.
  • Relax and Boat cruise and social interaction visit to the Orang Asli villages
  • Nightwalk

DAY 2  (Sg Halong )

  • A rainforest trekking journey – view the varieties of flora and trees, wildlife observation signs,
  • Rafflesia Site (optional)
  • Night activities/Talk         

DAY  3  (SG Halong – Banding – Gerik – Home)

  • Back to Banding Public Jetty – home
  • Enroute, view the deforestation state of the Belum-Temengor forest and the impact on nearby Orang Asli settlements

B.         Description of Activity/Tour
We recommend the 3 - 5 days trek into one of the least disturbed and finest examples of Malaysian lowland tropical rainforest. Trek Grade  :  Class 1~3 (Easy ~ Moderate ~ Strenuous)

  •    Viewing of the impact of deforestation in Belum-Temenggor rainforest.     
  • Boat ride/lake cruise and viewing the lifestyle of the locals/natives, Orang Asli, at this areas
  • Exploring Nature’s wonders
      • Experiencing trekking (Grade 1 ~ 2) to view the wilderness of tropical rainforest
      • Nightwalk
      • Visit a Rafflesia site,
      • Observing signs of wildlife and avian
      • Boat cruise view landscape of rainforest
      • Swimming in crystal clear stream / lake.

1.         Typical Day
You'll be trekking for an average of 4 - 5 hours with regular pit stops and passing though a variety of terrain and vegetation found in a real rainforests.
2.         Age range, type of group
Kids as young as 10 years old can join in this trek (Grade 1) as well as reasonably fit and good natured humour adults!
3.         Campsite facilities and meals
For the nites stop..you'll be camping with the guides where the accommodation (hut style), toilet/shower, kitchen utensils, and local freshly cooked meals will be provided.
4.         Restrictions
No illegal drugs, No pets, No explosives, No poisons. No subversive nor pornography materials allowed. Adhering to the MNS rules and regulations.
5.         What to Bring
For Light outfits e.g. clothings and shoes, sleeping bags, pillows, own medication.  A brief information programmes, and Checklist equipment of the trip will be provided upon confirmation of trip.
6.         Availability of Date Trips  :
subjected to campsite reservation/booking policy “first come, first served”.
                               

C.         Terms And Conditions


1.         Prices are in Malaysian Ringgit .  Note  :   All prices are subject to change.
2.         Deposits and Payment:  Malaysian  company/personal cheques, money orders, or cash.

  •      A deposit of 50% of the program cost is due with your registration.
  •      Payment is due 3 weeks prior to the program start.
  •      For bookings make 2 weeks or less, full payment is due.
  •      Balance of payment for all programs is due 1 weeks prior to trip commencement.

D.         Cancellation and Refund Policies:

1.         A full refund will be issued should MNS facilitating co-ordinators cancel a program due to some unavoidable circumstance, e.g. insufficient registrants, vehicle breakdowns, or staff illness.

2.         In the unlikely event that extreme weather, landslips or landslides conditions, problem wildlife or some other unavoidable factor force us to change the itinerary or reschedule with very short notice, we will offer an equivalent program in substitution on the same. 
           
3.         Should the participant or group leader cancel the booking for any reason the following penalties apply:
i.          Cancellations of 45 days from the trip date, the cancellation fees will be 30% of trip total price as administration service fees
ii.          Cancellations of 30 days from the trip date, the cancellation fees will be 50% of trip total price as administration service fees

  • Cancellations of 14 days from the trip date will results in no refund of the entire amount paid.

E.        Specific Attentions and needs

As our programs are organised tailored to the needs of  participants, costly measures are taken and due to the exclusive character of our co-ordination work, we seek for your team co-operation and commitments during the trip events.
Please note on our additional requirements for the safety and ensuring the smooth operation in carrying out the events :

1. Booking Conditions:
a.         MNS facilitating co-ordinators accepts no responsibility for the actions or persons or companies supplying goods and services as part of these packages, nor for any additional costs arising from the complication or prolongation of any program for any reason.

b.         MNS facilitating co-ordinators  reserves the right to change, reschedule or cancel any itinerary or service at any time without penalty to MNS faciliting co-ordinators.

c.         The participation of any person in any program is subject to the discretion of the program leader and guides.

d.         Health problems which may affect your participation in any program must be cleared by your physician.

 

2. Insurance:
a.         We strongly recommend that you purchase  travel insurance including:
i.          medical insurance to cover hospital costs and ambulance expenses;
ii.          personal insurance to cover loss of baggage and equipment.

3. Medical and Safety

a.         Safety is our prime concern and at the root of all that we do and teach in the outdoor environment.  
b.         Faciliting co-ordinators  has the right to administer first aid to participants and to engage the services of a physician, dentist or hospitalize a participant (adult or minor) if deemed necessary.
c.         If the participant is a minor, every effort will be made to contact the parents at the soonest possible moment in the event of an emergency.
d.         Medical and evacuation costs will be the reponsibility of the participants and/or parents.

4.         Liability
a.         Each participant will be required to sign a MNS Idenmity form before being allowed to participate with us. A sample of this document is included with your confirmation
b.         If the participant is under 18 years, the parent or legal guardian must sign on behalf of their child the MNS Indenmity form 
c.         In addition to these booking conditions the following applies:
i.          MNS facilitating co-ordinators shall maintain standards as temporary guardian and we are not trained in handling behavioral, motivational or rehabilitation conditions.

  • The close community and risk activities that we undertake can be adversely affected by a single participant. Behavior which negatively affects other students' right to enjoy the program, their welfare or safety and success of the group is not tolerated.
  • Offending participants can be removed from the program and no refund is due.
