Destination

Destination Selangor ~ Kuala Kubu Baru ~ Sungai Selangor adventure description (class 2+ to 4+ during normal water flow, some 5 during high water) ~ This is the whitewater experience in Malaysia and will be challenged by its superb yet, steep and technical rapids. Generally, the river flows in abundance through spectacularly beautiful riverine flora and fauna, a result of the high rainfall and relatively undisturbed catchments. Still in a pristine and natural state in most places especially in the upstream reaches, they gush continuously throughout the year. It also acts as the people’s playground by providing recreational opportunities as well as posing challenges to the intrepid travellers and the adventure-seekers (i.e. river tubing, whitewater rafting and kayaking). For the nature lover or thrill seeker, rafting enthusiast or active kayaker, there is an unforgettable experience awaiting you Trip Duration and Equipment This is a 5km class 4-5 river. The run is about 2-2.5hrs and contains at least 10 sets of rapids . This is a participating rafting run and passengers are to paddle as instructed by the guides. The instructions are limited and simple and mostly only consists of ‘forward’ and ‘backward’. Duration at average water level is approximately 2 hours from put-in to pull-out point (5km); All passengers are provided with raft, guides, safety kayaker, PFD’s (life jackets), helmets and paddles. They are required to have a towel and a set of dry clothes to change to after the run at the Pull-Out or finish point. Sneakers or sandals are the preferred footwear. Transportation   make your own way to kuala kubu baru for this trip. This is on the Kuala Kubu Baru to Fraser’s Hill road. The Put-In is just before the Sg Selangor bridge which is about 5 km from the town of Kuala Kubu Baru. From there the guides will take the group to the put-in point. All rafters are to proceed to KKB using their own transport unless we are requested to supply transportation as well at an added cost. Meeting time at the Kuala Kubu Post Office is at 8.30 A.M. At put-in point, drivers with their cars will then be escorted by a guide to Pull Out point and leave the cars there after which we shuttle the drivers back to the start point to join the other rafters. All will be required to sign our waiver forms and to partake in our safety briefing and basic paddling instructions. This usually takes 20 minutes. The run itself will take about 2 hours depending on water level
