NB. If you’re travelling on a really tight budget and travelling from Singapore, then take a local bus across the causeway for S$1.70. Hop onto a local intercity bus to Mersing from the Johore baharu bus terminal for RM10 -13 instead of S$11.10 from Singapore to Mersing. Savings of about ½. Or you could even catch the Mersing Omnibus the non-airconditioned buses from Johore Baharu to Mersing, for only RM7.30 one way.
